Anglican Cathedral of Ganghwa

Produced for Korea's historic Anglican Cathedral of Ganghwa (built in 1900), this architectural projection mapping project reinterprets the country's oldest Hanok-style church through high-definition light and VFX. Our studio spearheaded the complete 3D spatial mapping and motion graphics pipeline across a dual-elevation canvas—mapping both the lower terraced stone retaining walls and the upper cathedral facade. Utilizing precision 3D wireframe overlays, the show dynamically deconstructs the building's iconic hybrid architecture to reveal its inner Western Basilica structural layout, paired with procedural pine forest simulations, glowing ember particle fields, and illuminated timber-frame graphics that celebrate the seamless harmony of Eastern tradition and Western sacred heritage.
